Canyon Runner Hotshot moves the freight that cannot wait for the next scheduled truck — a down-machine part, a replacement panel, a pallet that has to be on site tomorrow morning. Pickups run from the Lower Mainland, direct to the delivery address, with no terminal stop and no consolidation wait. Every destination is quoted as one flat rate with fuel and the empty return leg already inside it, and the person who answers the phone is the person driving the load.
Tell us where your load is going and we will get you a price right away.
Five steps from a delivery address to a truck on the road. No sales call in between.
One truck, one dispatcher, flat rates quoted before you book.
Canyon Runner runs a gas-powered Ram 1500 out of the Lower Mainland, with a 78″ × 140″ trailer deck behind it when a load needs one.
That is the whole fleet, and it is sized for the freight that stops a site: a hydraulic pump, an electrical panel, a control board, a pallet of fittings.
Every destination is quoted as one flat rate with fuel and the empty return leg already inside it. No fuel surcharge line, no weight fee inside the published limits, no oversize fee inside the truck or trailer dimensions.
A half-ton on gasoline costs less to run than a diesel gooseneck rig, which is what makes a fixed rate workable. Published truckload fuel surcharges at FedEx Canada and Purolator ran from 69% to 96% of base freight in the week of 10–16 August 2026, and they reset weekly; a Canyon Runner rate does not move with the pump after you book it.
Book online and it routes straight to the driver taking the load. No load board, no brokerage layer, no case number to repeat back to a second department.
That is why an emergency pickup can be moving inside the hour instead of waiting on an internal approval chain. Availability is one truck deep — submit early and dispatch confirms the slot fast, rather than leaving you behind another shipper’s freight.
Pickups run from the Lower Mainland. Regular destinations include Hope, Merritt, Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, Salmon Arm, Revelstoke, Golden, Nelson, Cranbrook, Williams Lake, Prince George, Whistler, Terrace, Fort St. John, Grande Prairie, Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Lethbridge — and beyond.
Interior runs are same-day where the driving day allows, and emergency pickups are the priority: the freight goes from the pickup door to the delivery address in one move.
A destination that is not on the list is quoted the same way — put the address into the quote form and a flat rate comes back.
Answers to what shippers and fleet managers ask before handing over an emergency load.
The truck bed takes up to 800 lbs in a space 5′7″ long with the tailgate up (91″ with it down), 50″ wide and 60″ high. Anything over any one of those four limits moves to the trailer, which carries 1,500 lbs on a 78″ × 140″ deck.
The ceiling on a single run is 4 pallets and 2,300 lbs combined. Loads past that get split across two trips, arranged by phone rather than through the booking form.
Every destination has one flat rate, quoted on the page before you book. Fuel, the empty return leg and tarping are already inside it — there is no fuel surcharge line, no weight fee inside the published limits and no oversize fee inside the truck or trailer dimensions.
Loads that need the trailer are quoted at the flat trailer rate for that destination instead of the truck rate. The two are never added together.
Only four things, and each one is shown before you pay:
| Trailer required | Flat trailer rate replaces the truck rate. Triggered by more than one pallet, a pallet over 800 lbs, cargo 60″ or taller, or cargo wider than 50″. |
|---|---|
| Tonneau cover | $150 flat, for covered loads under 19″ tall. |
| Detention | $140/hr. First 30 minutes are free at pickup and 30 minutes free at delivery, tracked separately — unused time at one end doesn’t carry over to the other; after that it is billed in 15-minute increments. |
| Layover | $375 flat, when the delivery lands after the receiving yard closes or the legal driving day runs out. |
Detention and layover are billed on the final invoice after delivery, because neither is known at booking time.
Only one tier ever applies to a booking. They do not stack — whichever line below matches your pickup is the one charged.
| Standard business hours | Weekdays 7am–8pm | No surcharge |
|---|---|---|
| Late evening | Weekdays 8pm–10pm | +30% |
| Overnight or weekend | 10pm–7am any night, or any time Saturday and Sunday | +45% |
| BC statutory holiday | Any time of day | +60% |
A Saturday pickup at 9pm is charged the weekend rate of +45%, not +45% plus +30%. A pickup on a statutory holiday is +60% whatever the hour. The surcharge appears on the page as you pick your date and time, before payment.
The booking form carries an EMERGENCY — ASAP (within 1 hour) pickup option. Once the deposit clears, the truck loads and leaves — there is no terminal, no sorting hub and no consolidation wait, so nothing sits overnight waiting for a trailer to fill.
Interior destinations such as Merritt, Kamloops, Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon and Salmon Arm are same-day round trips. Longer runs into northern BC and Alberta book with an overnight layover, and the delivery window is confirmed at the time of booking rather than guessed at.
Pickups are in the Lower Mainland. Deliveries run to the Okanagan, the Coquihalla and Trans-Canada corridor, the Kootenays on Highway 3, the Cariboo and Prince George, Sea-to-Sky, Highway 16 to Terrace and Kitimat, the Peace region, and across Alberta — Hope, Merritt, Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon, Nelson, Cranbrook, Golden, Whistler, Prince George, Fort St. John, Grande Prairie, Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge and beyond.
A destination that is not listed still gets a flat rate. Enter the address in the quote form and the rate comes back the same way.
A 30% deposit is charged by card at booking, and that payment is what confirms the load. Nothing is dispatched against a booking with no deposit on it. The balance is invoiced after delivery with GST, due on receipt, with detention or layover added as line items if either was triggered.
E-transfer is accepted as an alternative to card payment. If a credit card is not used, the full amount must be paid before pickup — the truck is not dispatched on a deposit alone in that case.
Before dispatch: full deposit refunded, less card processing fees.
After dispatch, en route to pickup: 50% of the deposit refunded, less card processing fees.
After the freight is loaded: mileage both ways plus time, a $150 flat return fee, and a mileage charge for distance beyond the baseline route, payable before the truck returns.
Cargo is covered at $2.00 per pound under standard coverage, so a 400 lb pallet is covered to $800 regardless of what the part cost to buy.
Freight worth more than that needs additional coverage arranged before pickup, not at the dock. Note the declared value when you book or request your quote online and it gets handled before the truck is loaded.
Destinations off the list and loads outside these limits are quoted manually — request a custom quote and we’ll get back to you fast.
